The Sprite cartridge features a KDF/mineral salt combination whose lifespan depends on the amount of chlorine in the water, as well, of course, as the number of showers taken. The manufacturer recommends replacement after six to eighteen months. We've found that on our local water eight to twelve months is a typical replacement figure. Once a year is a good change schedule for most situations.
